Welcome to the Sired and Rasmussen Family Home

Owning and operating a small business, growing your family and tackling a renovation may sound like an intimidating checklist, but Jennifer Sired is ticking off the boxes at an impressive rate.

Jennifer is the owner of Castledowns Animal Hospital in Edmonton, working alongside her husband and fellow veterinarian Eddie Rasmussen. Being an advocate for animals is fulfilling, but the pressure can also take a toll. Having a space to relax and decompress in helps Jennifer and Eddie be at their best for their furry patients.

And their undeveloped basement wasn’t a very calm-inspiring space. After more than five years in their home, it was time to tackle a full renovation. That’s when they called us. We were proud to take some pressure off their shoulders and provide them with the power to continue growing in their home. Because everyone needs a sanctuary.

Jennifer says they’re looking forward to future renovations but, at the moment, they have their hands full with their most exciting undertaking yet — being first-time parents to their newborn son. They may have to wait just a little bit longer for that zen they were looking for.

“We purchased a house that had a totally undeveloped basement. We hired Sheldon and his crew to handle all of the electrical work — and we truly couldn’t have made a better decision. Sheldon was most generous with his time, making sure he understood our vision for the space. He’s absolutely an expert and we leaned on him heavily to provide us with an electrical layout that we’re thrilled with. He was always available for consultation and his crew were very punctual, professional and courteous. Every time we had another contractor or an inspector come in to view the site, they all raved about the electrical work that'd been done. All things considered, we’re thrilled with the final product and can say it was provided at a fair price point. We highly recommend Nichols Electric to anyone that’s planning an electrical project.”
