Welcome to Rosebriar Farms

📍 New Norway, Alberta

Unpredictable weather can make farming in Alberta uniquely challenging. Just one early snowfall can devastate crops that farmers have worked all year to grow — putting their livelihood at risk. No one knows this better than Dylan Graff of Rosebriar Farms. As a barley, wheat, canola and fava bean farmer, he and his family have been at the mercy of mother nature for many years.

But this year, Dylan decided he’d had enough. That’s when he called Sheldon, a fellow New Norwaian and respected local electrician, to find a solution.

Beginning work in mid-summer, Nichols Electric worked with Shift Innovations to build Dylan a brand new bin yard on his 2800 acre family farm. What was once just a grass field is now a gravelled, concreted, and fully automated grain drying system that will not only save Dylan time, but also stress.

Dylan can now start harvest earlier, focus on combining and have peace of mind knowing that his product will get to market regardless of the weather. Ultimately that means Dylan will have more time and energy to do what matters most — spending time with his wife and raising his little ones.

I want a little bit more of a fussy electrician on something like this. It’s not just running wire underground or pulling wire through a shop, there’s a lot to it. I knew Sheldon would be the guy for the job. Mother Nature can be cruel sometimes so I’m glad I can take things out of her hands for once.

Scott can’t control the weather, but he can avoid delays due to equipment breakdowns by working with reliable and efficient contractors like Nichols Electric.
