Welcome to SNF Canada

📍 Edmonton, Alberta

Have you every wondered who’s behind treating and preserving our water? In this new age of environmental sustainability, preserving water — the most important resource to humanity — is arguably most important.

SNF is a global specialty chemical group that contributes to treating, recycling and preserving water, saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint. They manufacture water-soluble polymers which are used wherever water is present — drinking water production, wastewater treatment, sludge dewatering, oil and gas extraction, mining, agriculture and manufacturing.

SNF has locations all over the world, including our home province of Alberta. In Edmonton, Darryl Legge oversees the 300,000 square foot SNF facility as Facility Superintendent.

Darryl has worked at the facility for an impressive 30 years. And by virtue of managing such a large operation, he’s seen his fair share of electrical problems.

SNF becomes loyal customer of Nichols Electric

Darryl and Sheldon Nichols, Founder and CEO of Nichols Electric, started working together a few years ago on electrical projects that were crucial to the operation.

“[Nichols Electric] are the only guys we’ll use now going forward in our building,” Darryl says. We’ve worked with a lot of electricians over the years and Nichols Electric is by far the best.”

A while back, Darryl and his team realized there were electrical problems with a shipping dock, causing a number of operational headaches. Over the years, he brought in one electrician after another to look at it but none of them could figure out the problem. Sheldon and his team at Nichols Electric came in, assessed the dock, found the problem and fixed it with no issues.

“It’s been working perfectly ever since. They just get the work done, which is important from a facility perspective because there’s so much going on. I highly recommend Nichols Electric to anyone who’s looking for a commercial electrician!”

For Scott Keller at Keller Farms, timing is everything during harvest season. Early snowfall can devastate a crop yield, so every year feels like a race against mother nature to get those grains harvested and into the dryer. Scott can’t control the weather, but he can avoid delays due to equipment breakdowns by working with reliable and efficient contractors like Nichols Electric.
